Servers and Tips

I remember working at Steak n Shake (if you don't know what that is, Google it) and how the servers would sometimes complain that they didn't get a tip from their table. It frustrates me when a server has provided great service and they do not receive a tip. Even when you are a complete ass wipe to them, they still smile and do they're job. Tip your servers. They work hard for. Tip them. Now if the service just sucks then, okay, I get it. When I say "service sucks", this does not mean your food came out late. The servers don't control how fast your food comes out. Blame the production team. They are the ones that cook the food. You can't blame the servers for something that is actually out of their control. The only thing they can do is OCCASIONALLY light a fire under the cook's ass, but that may only go so far. Tip your servers. When your service sucks, your food is sitting in the window for 15 plus minutes after the cook has called out for your server to pick it up and you see it sitting there while your server is socializing. When your service sucks, your server doesn't refill your drink like they're suppose to. When your service sucks, your server has a stank attitude and is rude to you. I'm the person that won't tip because of the server not doing what they're suppose to. Not because of something they can't control. So tip your servers, when they are doing their job.
